Terms of Service

The terms for creating, publishing and sharing your work through DeeStudio.

Last updated: 4 September 2026

1. About DeeStudio

DeeStudio is a portfolio and presentation platform for surface pattern designers and other creative professionals. It lets you upload artwork, build collections, present licensing information, publish a portfolio page and receive enquiries about your work.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using DeeStudio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You need an account to use the studio. You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your sign-in method secure, and for activity carried out through your account. Please tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to it.

4. Your Artwork and Ownership

You keep ownership of the artwork and content you upload. Uploading work to DeeStudio does not transfer copyright or any other ownership right to us.

DeeStudio does not licence, sell or resell your artwork, and does not act as your agent.

You grant us only the limited, non-exclusive operational permission needed to run the features you choose — to store, process, optimise, display, publish and share your content according to the visibility settings you select, and to create the previews and exports you request. This permission exists so the software can show your work as you have asked it to; it is not a claim of ownership, and it ends for content you delete or unpublish, subject to normal backup expiry.

5. Your Responsibility for Content

You must hold the rights or permissions needed for everything you upload and publish, including any third-party elements within your artwork.

You must not upload or publish content that:

  • infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
  • is unlawful, or promotes unlawful activity;
  • contains malware or malicious code;
  • breaches applicable law; or
  • is intended to abuse, overload or disrupt the service.

6. Public and Unlisted Portfolios

Public. The page can be viewed by anyone and may be indexed by search engines.

Unlisted. The page is not intended to appear in normal portfolio navigation, but anyone holding the link can open it and can pass it on. Unlisted links are not confidential and should not be relied on to protect sensitive work.

You choose the visibility of each collection and can change or withdraw it at any time.

7. Licensing Information

DeeStudio helps you present the licensing terms you offer. It is a presentation tool, not a licensing marketplace.

DeeStudio is not automatically a party to any agreement between you and a client, and does not guarantee that:

  • an enquiry becomes a licensing deal;
  • a buyer or brand is legitimate or solvent;
  • the licensing terms you enter are legally sufficient for your situation; or
  • you achieve any particular commercial result.

Any final licensing agreement remains between you and the other party, unless DeeStudio explicitly introduces a separate service in future. For binding agreements, please take your own legal advice.

8. Enquiries and Communications

DeeStudio may provide enquiry forms so visitors to your portfolio can contact you. We pass those messages to your enquiry inbox; we do not vet senders. You remain responsible for evaluating, responding to and following up on enquiries, and for any commitments you make.

9. AI-Assisted Features

DeeStudio includes optional assisted writing that can draft collection copy — such as a story, keywords or suggested product categories — from the notes and artwork details you provide.

These drafts are suggestions and may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and editing anything before you publish it. Assisted suggestions never change your ownership of your artwork and never override the visibility or licensing settings you have chosen.

10. Platform Availability

We aim to keep DeeStudio reliable, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, provider outages or technical failures may interrupt access or specific features. We recommend keeping your own master copies of your artwork.

11. Third-Party Services

DeeStudio relies on third-party providers for authentication, database and file storage, hosting and content delivery, and for the model used by assisted writing. Their availability and terms can affect the service, and we are not responsible for their performance.

12. Prohibited Uses

  • Attempting to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access.
  • Uploading or distributing malware.
  • Automated scraping or bulk downloading of other designers' work.
  • Impersonating another person, studio or brand.
  • Fraudulent or deceptive activity.
  • Infringing intellectual-property rights.
  • Interfering with, overloading or disrupting the service or its infrastructure.

13. Plans and Billing

DeeStudio does not currently charge for accounts, and no payment processing is implemented. If paid plans are introduced, the pricing, billing period, renewal and refund terms will be published here and shown to you before any charge.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or restrict access where it is reasonably necessary — for example in response to a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, unlawful content, a credible security concern, or activity that threatens the platform or other users. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to put things right.

You may stop using DeeStudio at any time.

15. Account and Content Deletion

You can delete artwork and collections, and unpublish your portfolio, directly in your studio. To delete your account entirely, contact us at the address below and we will remove your account and associated content. Copies may remain in backups for a limited period before they expire.

16. DeeStudio Platform Intellectual Property

The DeeStudio software, interface, design system, branding and original platform assets belong to DeeStudio or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or create derivative versions of the platform itself without permission.

This section covers the platform only. It does not apply to your artwork — your uploaded work remains entirely yours, as set out in section 4.

17. Disclaimer

DeeStudio provides tools for presenting creative work. The service is provided as is, without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded.

We do not guarantee licensing success, portfolio traffic, enquiries, sales, exposure or any other commercial outcome.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, DeeStudio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost business, lost opportunities or lost data arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

19. Indemnity

You agree to cover reasonable claims, losses and costs that arise from content you upload or publish in breach of these Terms — in particular content that infringes someone else's rights or is unlawful — and from misuse of the service through your account.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service develops. The current version will always be available on this page with its last-updated date. Continuing to use DeeStudio after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
