Privacy Policy
How DeeStudio handles your information and artwork.
Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. Introduction
DeeStudio is a portfolio and presentation platform for surface pattern designers and other creative professionals. You use it to upload artwork, organise it into collections, describe the licensing terms you offer, publish a portfolio page and receive enquiries about your work.
This policy explains what information we handle when you use DeeStudio, why we handle it, and the choices available to you. It covers the DeeStudio website and the studio application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is needed to run the service:
- Account information. Your email address and the authentication details created when you sign up or sign in.
- Designer profile information. The details you enter about your studio — display name, portfolio name, bio, location, website and social links, portfolio URL slug, logo and any styling choices such as fonts or banner images.
- Artwork and collection data. The image files you upload and the information you attach to them: titles, collection names, stories, keywords, colour palettes extracted from your images, product categories, layout choices and the order in which work is presented.
- Licensing information. The licence types, terms and notes you choose to display alongside your collections.
- Publishing state. Whether a portfolio or collection is draft, published, public or unlisted, together with published versions kept so your live page stays stable while you keep editing.
- Enquiries. When someone contacts you through your portfolio, we store the message and the contact details they provide so it can be delivered to your enquiry inbox.
- Engagement signals. Simple counts such as likes on a published portfolio.
- Technical information. Standard information our hosting and database providers process to serve requests and keep the platform secure, such as IP address, browser type and request logs.
We do not ask for payment card details, because paid plans are not currently part of DeeStudio.
3. Google Sign-In
You can sign in with Google. If you do, Google confirms your identity to us and we receive the basic account information needed to create and recognise your account — typically your name, email address and profile picture where Google provides it.
We do not request or receive access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendars or any other Google service, and we never see your Google password.
4. Artwork and Creative Content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. Uploading artwork to DeeStudio does not transfer any copyright or ownership to us.
- DeeStudio does not become the owner of your artwork.
- DeeStudio does not sell, licence or resell your artwork on your behalf, and is not a party to agreements you reach with clients.
- We store, process and display your files only as needed to deliver the features you choose to use: portfolio presentation, collection pages, presentation layouts and previews, image resizing and delivery, exports you request, and public or unlisted sharing.
We claim no rights beyond what is technically necessary to operate those features for you.
5. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the service.
- To authenticate your account and keep you signed in.
- To store your artwork, collections and portfolio content.
- To generate your portfolio and collection pages, previews and exports.
- To provide public and unlisted sharing links.
- To pass enquiries from visitors to the designer they were sent to.
- To keep the platform reliable, diagnose faults and improve performance.
- To respond to support requests.
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam and unauthorised access.
6. Public Portfolio Information
Content you publish is intended to be seen. When you publish a portfolio or a collection, the information on that page — including your studio name, bio, images, collection stories and the licensing details you display — becomes available to people who visit it.
Public pages can be found and viewed by anyone and may be indexed by search engines.
Unlisted pages are not shown in normal portfolio navigation, but anyone who has the link can open it and can forward it to others. Unlisted links are a convenience, not a security measure — please do not treat them as private or confidential.
You can unpublish a collection or change its visibility at any time from your studio.
7. Service Providers
DeeStudio is built on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage for accounts, artwork and portfolio data.
- Google — optional sign-in with your Google account.
- Our hosting and content-delivery provider — serving the website, application and images.
- An AI model provider — used only when you ask an assisted writing feature to draft collection copy from the notes you supply.
We do not use advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not run third-party marketing or advertising trackers on the site.
9. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
Information is shared only with the service providers listed above, to the extent needed for them to run the platform for us; with the designer an enquiry was addressed to; and where we are required to do so by law or to protect the platform, our users or our rights.
10. Data Retention
We keep your account, portfolio content and uploaded artwork for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide the service. Content you delete is removed from your studio; copies may persist for a limited period in backups and infrastructure logs before they expire.
We may retain limited information where we need it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our terms.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including authenticated access, database access rules that scope your data to your own account, and time-limited links for private files.
No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique sign-in method and keep access to your account protected.
12. Your Choices and Rights
- Review and update your profile, portfolio name, bio, links and logo in your studio settings.
- Edit, unpublish or delete collections and delete uploaded artwork at any time.
- Switch a collection between public and unlisted, or take it offline entirely.
- Unpublish your portfolio so its public page is no longer served.
- Request deletion of your account and associated content by contacting us.
- Ask us about the information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Contact us using the details below and we will respond to reasonable requests.
13. Children's Privacy
DeeStudio is intended for professional and independent designers. It is not intended for children, and accounts should not be created by anyone below the minimum age required to consent to online services where they live. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
14. International Users
DeeStudio is available internationally. Our providers may store and process information on servers in countries other than your own, which means your information may be transferred across borders in order to deliver the service.
Where local law gives you specific rights over your information, we aim to honour reasonable requests relating to those rights. Please contact us if you need more detail about how your information is handled in your region.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as DeeStudio develops. The current version is always available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Significant changes will be communicated in the application where appropriate.
